An improved version of the Huawei Mate 40 smartphone has become even better. TD Tech M40 gets 90Hz screen

The TD Tech M40 smartphone, announced in May this year, was released simultaneously. Now, a new improved version is available in China.

The base 8GB/128GB version is $530. The 8GB/256GB version is $590. The new version includes a charger and a screen that transmits 90 Hz.

The TD Tech M40 smartphone is identical in design to the Huawei Mate 40. However, unlike Huawei phones it supports 5G connectivity. Here, the Kirin 9000 4G is replaced by a MediaTek Dimensity 100 Plus single-chip system. Dual 5G SIM cards can be used with the smartphone. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ MOLED display and HDR 10+ support. It also meets the IP53 level of protection, meaning it can be used in rain without fear and can be picked up by wet hands.

The TD Tech M40 has a 64-megapixel main camera, instead of the 50-megapixel sensor in the Huawei Mate 40. It features laser autofocus, f/1.9 aperture, and 4K video recording support. Ultra-wide angle cameras feature a 16-megapixel F/2.2 aperture sensor and an additional macro mode. An 8-megapixel telephoto lens features 3x optical zoom and a 3-megapixel F/2.2 aperture sensor. A 13-megapixel wide angle selfie camera is located at the front.

HarmonyOS is the operating system on this phone. The phone is powered by a 4200mAh lithium battery that supports fast charging at 40W.
