The new Nothing Phone (1) has an aluminum frame, and is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. However, testing has shown that the back and front panels respond differently to falls.
A video showing a drop test for Nothing Phone (1) has been published by PBKreviews. The screen will survive a fall from a pocket if there is a protective film, but the back panel can break pretty quickly if the screen falls from a pocket.
The official protective case is transparent and will not cover the Glyph-branded LED indicators. This provides better protection for the rear. If you don’t wish to cover the entire back of your phone with a case, you can put a protective film onto the glass.
Recently, we posted comparison photos with the Nothing Phone (1) as well as the iPhone 13 Pro cameras.
