Google currently works on a Nest Wifi model. The new edition will use Wi-Fi 6 and have a uniform design. In 2019, the predecessor made a distinction between access points and routers. The new model is possible in multiple colors.
9to5google has received information from an unidentified source about the Google Nest Wifi series of mesh routers. New devices will have WiFi 6. Some models might already be compatible with Wi-Fi 6E. This is not confirmed. Wi-Fi 6 wireless routers can transmit data at speeds up to 9.6 gigabits each second.
The Google Nest Wifi can be used as both a router or as a mesh access points. The router can be connected to a modem. However, mesh devices allow for greater network coverage. Google Wifi was the original version released in 2016. The previous redesign of the year used the same hardware to create the router and mesh amplifiers. Two variants were introduced by Google in 2019 when the Nest Wifi system was included to the range. You can also use the Nest Wifi Access Point as a voice assistant.
There is no difference between these two versions
This should change with the new edition. There is no distinction now between router and mesh point in terms of design or hardware. It is not yet clear if the new model will include the Google Assistant. There may be different colors for the new Google Nest Wifi. There may be new models in addition to the existing colors. These devices will be available for purchase in the fall. Google may present the new Nest Wifi with the Pixel 7 in the fall and launch it on the marketplace a few days later.
