Huawei will soon launch the second edition its in-house fitness smartwatch the Huawei Fit 2. The new watch will feature a rectangular, elongated display that is slightly larger. It should be available for purchase at 150 euros. The same design is used in the Huawei Watch Fit 2. Huawei has combined a longer display and a more affordable platform to offer up to 10 days battery life and extensive fitness features at surprisingly low prices.
Big screen, big battery, same run time
The screen is now 1.74 inches diagonal and boasts a 336 x480 resolution. The manufacturer doesn’t provide any further information about the ARM Cortex-M SoC under the hood. Huawei has a number of functions in Harmony OS 2.0.
Huawei Watch Fit 2 supports over 100 sports. It can record heart rate, step count, blood oxygen saturation, sleep quality, stress levels, and more. The battery is 292 mAh, which is a little more than the previous model. This does not affect the battery’s ability to last up to 10 days.
Huawei also supports Bluetooth 5.2 and a GPS receiver, so the Huawei Watch Fit 2 can be used as a tracker and in conjunction with the smartphone to make phone calls. The watch can withstand water up to 50 ATM. It also comes in a different metal case. Customers can choose from metal, leather, or plastic bracelets. Huawei offers the Huawei Watch Fit 2 with the three variants “Active”, Classic, and Elite, just like the Huawei Watch GT3 Pro.
