Nissan Leaf, Range Rover and Nissan Altima are depreciating faster than other cars

Compare The Market experts have created a ranking of cars that lose most value after they are purchased by analysing search queries made on Google over the past year for “used cars”.

The Japanese electric car Nissan Leaf came in first place for price reduction. It has lost 49% on average over three years of operation and is now at the top of the list. This is because more technologically advanced electric cars are on the market that are clearly superior to the Leaf.

Range Rover came in second place. In three years, the crossover’s fifth generation price dropped 44%. It is also one of the most expensive SUVs available in America at the moment. The model is available for purchase starting at $100,000

Nissan Altima has closed the first three. Its price has dropped by 42% over three years. A used model will be significantly cheaper than its counterparts in the face Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.

Americans were most interested in the SUV Jeep Wrangler because it was searched for 760940 times. The Toyota Tacoma came in second place, with 509,490 searches. In terms of queries, third place went to the Tesla Model 3, while the Honda Civic (and the Toyota 4Runner) also made it into the top five. Two Jeeps and one Tesla are the only non-Japanese models among the top ten.
